About the Crowded Quartet

Tucson’s Most Confusingly Named Wind Quintet

Since 2014, Crowded Quartet has been bringing joy, energy, and a touch of mischief to audiences across Southern Arizona and beyond. Despite our name, we are, in fact, a five-member wind quintet—one that thrives on dynamic performances, eclectic programming, and the sheer fun of making music together.

Our journey began with a whirlwind: representing the Tucson Repertory Orchestra on live TV after just one rehearsal! Since then, we’ve performed everywhere from elegant concert halls to lively festivals, whimsical time travelers’ balls, and cozy Dickens tea parties. Our repertoire is as varied as our venues, spanning classical masterpieces, popular favorites, and captivating world music. We are especially passionate about showcasing underrepresented composers and uncovering hidden musical gems.

As an ensemble of all original members and longtime friends, we bring an undeniable chemistry to every performance. Our love for music—and for each other—shines through, creating unforgettable experiences that connect with audiences of all ages. Whether we’re playing for a formal concert or a festive celebration, one thing is certain: Crowded Quartet is here to entertain, surprise, and share the joy of live music!
